A 70-year-old man drowned this Thursday in Playa Chica, as reported by CECOES.
The event took place around 1:00 p.m., when lifeguards saw a person floating unconscious in the sea with signs of drowning. They quickly took him out of the water and practiced resuscitation maneuvers on him. Subsequently, the health personnel continued with them but they were unsuccessful.
Agents from the Local Police, Civil Guard, two SUC ambulances and beach personnel travelled to the scene.
The police services have taken charge of the corresponding proceedings.
