A Baby Dies with Covid in the Canary Islands

The Canary Islands this Friday added its 757th death since the start of the pandemic and the last victim was a baby of only 4 months who resided in Gran Canaria. The tragic news also adds to the death of another 6-year-old boy this week . Regarding the baby, from the Ministry of Health they affirm that he had a "previous severe pathology".

As for the new cases of coronavirus diagnosed in the last day, they amount to 118, as reported by the Ministry. The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands thus stands at 39.57 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 83.50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Lanzarote has added another 19 positives of Covid-19 in the last day , which has already raised the active cases on the island to 200 . And it is that although in the last 24 hours 15 discharges have been reported, the new daily cases continue to exceed that number of discharges.
