A 50-year-old man died after suffering a heart attack this Tuesday while bathing on a beach in Puerto del Carmen. The events took place this Tuesday, around 1:05 p.m., in Playa Grande, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center (CECOES).
The surveillance and lifeguard service, upon realizing what happened, alerted 1-1-2 and prepared to rescue the man from the sea . He was in cardiorespiratory arrest and the lifeguards began to perform resuscitation and resuscitation maneuvers on him.
Shortly after, the staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) arrived at the area, given that the man was still in the same condition, and performed basic and advanced resuscitation maneuvers. Finally, nothing could be done for his life and he ended up passing away.
In addition, the Local Police and Civil Guard also went to the scene and carried out the corresponding procedures.
