The airline Binter has also stopped operating at the Tenerife south airport due to the ash emitted by the La Palma volcano, which "has worsened considerably," as the company explained this Friday through a statement.

With this, Binter no longer operates the La Palma, La Gomera and Tenerife Sur airports, although it does maintain operations at the Tenerife North airport, except for night flights.

"The airline has been forced to make this decision due to force majeure, since in the last hours the situation of suspended ash has worsened considerably," they have defended.

The company explained that "the stoppage of operations will continue until conditions improve and allow flying, guaranteeing safety." and the company is responding through the usual channels to requests for changes or refunds that may be received from affected passengers on these flights.

The airline has reported that "it is following the evolution of the situation at all times in contact with the aeronautical authorities, awaiting confirmation that all security conditions are met to resume normal operations."
