A man, apparently of British nationality and about 54 years old, has climbed on Sunday afternoon to a construction crane that is located in the Hotel Fariones apparently with the intention of jumping.
It was the pedestrians who were in the area saw the man who had been shouting and waving his arms from the top of the crane. They quickly called 112 and agents of the Local Police, the Canary Police, the Civil Guard, the Emergency Consortium and an ambulance from the SUC arrived.
According to two friends of the man explained to La Voz that
The Local Police have closed the street to traffic. As La Voz has learned, it was a British man who had been living on the island for years. His partner is now collaborating with the emergency services
