Foreign tourists will be able to arrive in Spain from July 1st without having to keep a 14-day quarantine.

This was decided at the inter-ministerial meeting that was held by videoconference and in which the vice-presidents Teresa Ribera and Nadia Calviño, as well as the heads of Foreign, Interior, Transport, Health and Industry, Commerce and Tourism, participated.

Minutes before knowing the specific date, the Foreign Minister, Arancha González Laya, assured in her Twitter account that "in July international tourism will be gradually reactivated and the quarantine is lifted", an isolation to which she was subjected to everyone who entered the national territory since last May 15th. Of course, he encouraged to make promotional campaigns "very powerful" because "that tourists can come does not mean they will come."

With the reopening of shops, hotels and restaurants, thousands of freelancers have returned to activity. According to the calculations of the Association of Autonomous Workers (ATA), 78% of the total is already working and they expect that in the middle of June the percentage of openings will reach 100%. Its president, Lorenzo Amor, highlights that Phase 2 opening from this Monday in the chosen communities has been carried out "with great enthusiasm and hope", but also with uncertainty about how the demand.
