The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has confirmed this Wednesday the first case of monkeypox in Lanzarote.
In addition to the one on the island, Health has reported another new case and four under study throughout the archipelago since Tuesday. Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert, there have been 134 confirmed cases , of which 82 were detected in Gran Canaria, 46 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura, one in La Palma and another in Lanzarote.
All active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation receiving follow-up from Primary Care.
