The president of the PP and parliamentarian Ástrid Pérez denies that the Canarian budgets includes the creation of the Hemodynamics Unit for Lanzarote. "The Government of the Canary Islands does not plan in 2020 to create a Hemodynamics Unit on Lanzarote: This follows from the budgets that the Ministry of Health of the Canarian Executive gave to the island for next year, which does not include the building of the Hemodynamics Unit.
Acute patients and people who suffer a heart attack in Lanzarote have to be transferred in a mobile ICU, via SUC plane, to Gran Canaria or Tenerife, since Dr. Molina Orosa Hospital lacks a Hemodynamics Unit. “It is a issue serious and of such importance that the Minister of Health, who has recently been in Lanzarote, must guarantee budgets to provide resources and professionals, and create the Hemodynamics Unit in Lanzarote, to avoid unnecessary risks to local people”.
Given this situation, Astrid Pérez will demand from the Government of the Canary Islands, a financial statement to inclide the opening in 2020 of this necessary unit on an island with a permanent population that exceeds the two hundred thousand people, between residents and tourists.
