The State Meteorological Agency has activated a yellow warning for high temperatures for this Saturday in Lanzarote, which will start a heat wave of several days.
The thermometers will begin to rise from this Friday, with a maximum forecast of up to 35 degrees, but temperatures will continue to rise on Saturday. The pre-alert will begin that day at 11 a.m. and, in principle, will be active until 8 p.m. that day.
However, the yellow notice - which is activated a maximum of three days in advance - could be extended to the following days. In fact, on Saturday the Aemet predicts maximum temperatures of 36 degrees on the island, and between Sunday and Tuesday it raises that forecast to 38 degrees.
