For the first time, the island of Lanzarote has a direct flight to the Moroccan city of Marrakech . The low-cost airline Ryanair has inaugurated a direct connection with two frequencies from César Manrique airport on Mondays and Fridays .
With a duration of just over an hour, the flights leave Lanzarote every Monday at 8:05 a.m. arriving at Marrakech airport at 9:30 a.m. and on Fridays departing from César Manrique at 11:40 a.m. arriving at 1:05 p.m.
To return , flights leave Marrakech on Mondays at 6:05 a.m. with arrival in Lanzarote at 7:30 a.m. and on Fridays at 9:40 a.m. with arrival on the island at 11:05 a.m.
With 1.5 million inhabitants, Marrakech is one of the four imperial cities of Morocco. It was founded in 1062 by the Almoravids and has the largest traditional market in the country, as well as one of the busiest squares in Africa, Djemaa el Fna.
