The Canary Islands' airports as a whole registered 4.36 million passengers in July, 6.7% more, but fewer tourists arrived in El Hierro and La Gomera than last year
After having recorded double-digit percentage increases in tourist arrivals in February and March compared to last year, growth is finally stabilising at Lanzarote Airport at below 5% in the last quarter .
The lowest increase occurred in July , when César Manrique Airport registered 744,894 passengers , equivalent to a growth of 1.3% compared to July of last year.
The Canary Islands airports recorded 4.36 million passengers, which is 6.7% more than those who arrived in July last year.
Among them, two million passengers flew on domestic routes, 5.8% more than in July last year, and 2.3 million on
international routes, 7.4% more.

El Hierro and La Gomera received fewer passengers than last year
Gran Canaria Airport recorded the highest number of passengers in July, with 1.2 million tourists, which represents 6% more than in July of last year.
This is followed by Tenerife South Airport, with just over one million passengers and an increase of 13.8% compared to 2023. Tenerife North Airport , for its part, registered more than 600,000 passengers, 6% more .
Nearly 550,000 passengers arrived at Fuerteventura airport , 5.1% more than in July last year. A percentage increase very similar to that of La Palma (+5%), with which arrivals on the beautiful island exceeded 130,000 passengers.
Fewer passengers arrived on El Hierro and La Gomera in July than last year . 29,000 people landed on the island of the meridian, 6.4% less than last year, while on La Gomera the fall was minimal, 0.4% to 11,700 tourists.
So far this year, Canary Islands airports have exceeded 30 million passengers, 9.5% more than in the same period in 2023.
