The Lanzarote delegation travelled to the World Travel Market 2021, headed by the president of the Cabildo, Ma Dolores Corujo, which started in London, the first day of what is considered one of the three most important tourist fairs in the world, with perspectives of the best connectivity in its history for this winter season 2021/2022, in global terms of routes, companies and connecting cities.

Notable recovery of Lanzarote.

The travel companies have booked, between the months of November 2021 and April 2022, include a total of 1,415,648 air seats, which represents a 20.1% increase compared to the winter season of 2019. This percentage increase is also almost double the average forecast by the Archipelago for the coming months,

The César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport will have a total of 555 weekly operations this winter, compared to 515 in the same season two years ago. A total of 35 airlines will operate with Lanzarote, which will keep the island directly connected by air with 86 airports in 19 countries.

By islands, Lanzarote is the one that experienced the greatest increase in connections from the United Kingdom during the summer, with 18.8 percent more, followed by Fuerteventura (16.2%) and Gran Canaria (15.9%), in addition to Tenerife South (7.5%)
