91.7 % of the total hotel rooms available in Lanzarote in March were occupied. This is the highest hotel occupancy by room in the entire country.
The archipelago as a whole registered in March the highest hotel occupancy by places offered in Spain, 72% , and concentrated 41.6% of the overnight stays made in establishments in the country by non-residents, according to the INE.
Overnight stays in hotel establishments in Spain as a whole rose by 17.1% in March compared to the same month of the previous year, to more than 20.6 million , while prices grew by 10.5% , and accumulate 22 months of continuous increases.
According to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE), travelersnon-residents made 12.6 million nights and nationals, eight million.
During the first three months of 2023, overnight stays increased by 26.6% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached a level similar to that of that period in 2019, before the pandemic.
