Some 40,000 people, according to the Tinajo City Council, came to see Melendi last Wednesday night in Mancha Blanca. The Asturian presented for the first time in Lanzarote his latest album, "Likes and scars" combined with his lifelong songs
"This evening will leave one of the most representative festivals on the island at the top, demonstrating the Cabildo's efforts to organize events worthy of citizenship, with internationally renowned artists in an unforgettable setting", highlighted the president of the Cabildo, Dolores Corujo presenting the concert.
The mayor, Jesús Machín, regretted that so many others were left unable to access the concert because "we had to make the decision at a certain time to close the entrance to the cars, because of safety issues". In fact, " the queues of cars came from Tinajo to Arrecife."
Finally, Machín points out that "fortunately there were no incidents, on a night that lasted until 04:00 in the morning with performances by Inida Martínez and the Rikabanda orchestra"
