A 50-year-old man has died on Thursday at Famara Beach, after being rescued from the sea after a cardio respiratory arrest.
The incident happened around 3:35 pm, Security Coordination Center received an alert, informing them that the man was out of the water and lifeguards were giving cardiopulmonary resuscitation. A medicalised ambulance with basic life support systems and the police went to the beach.
On arrival the SUC health personnel continued with the basic resuscitation maneuvers and began advanced procedures, without success, confirming the death of the man.
The beach service staff and the Local Police collaborated with the emergency services, while the Civil Guard held the body until the arrival of the Judicial Authority.
