They have parked in the towns of Arrieta and Punta Mujeres.

Dozens of motor homes have filled the streets of Arrieta and Punta Mujeres in protest at the lack of camping spaces on the island. Since this Friday, the motor homes have been parking in these northern towns in retaliation for the City Council's decision to prevent them from parking in some areas of the municipality.

The Cabildo decided last June 7th not to open the Papagayo campsite “due to the health emergency situation we are experiencing, we cannot guarantee the safety of the campers and, therefore, at the moment we do not believe it is convenient to open the campsite. However, from the institution it was reported that it was going to "study the possibility of looking for other spaces where this activity can be carried out safely".
