Yaiza City Council has sent this week to the Regional Coastal Demarcation two projects for El Golfo, with which it intends to pedestrianise the town's Maritime Avenue and create two natural pools, taking advantage of the existing shape in the beach of the coastal town. The mayor, Óscar Noda, said they will now wait for Costas's response "in case any correction is necessary, and then process the projects and grant the building licenses."

The intervention on Avenida Marítima consists of reinforcing the pavement, paving, and construction of sidewalks to increase public services, "with a significant increase in pedestrian safety." In short, the mayor points out, "they are works of conservation, maintenance and improvements that will result in the well-being of the residents and in the economy of the town, based on its excellent gastronomic offer with seafood."

Regarding the natural swimming pools project, he defends that "it will also reinforce the leisure alternatives in El Golfo, being respectful of the environment." As Óscar Noda explained at the time to residents of the town, the Charca Mareal project de El Golfo proposes two natural swimming pools to add to those existing in the Canary Islands."
