On February 16th, two National Police officers who were patrolling around the islet of La Fermina in Arrecife and heard cries for help coming from a nearby restaurant, where the little boy had lost consciousness.

Due to the seriousness of the situation, the national police officers decided not to wait for the ambulance to arrive and transferred him to a hospital in the capital, but a few metres from the hospital the little boy went into cardiorespiratory arrest. Specialised medical personnel then took care of the minor, resuscitating and stabilising him.

On March 3rd, the little boy was invited by the National Police together with his parents to the Arrecife Police Station, where he met the officiers who assisted him.
