The Avenida de Las Palmeras in Costa Teguise Will be Resurfaced from Monday

Next Monday, July 26th, the Teguise City Council and the Public Works area of the Cabildo will jointly begin an action to improve Las Palmeras avenue in Costa Teguise, which will consist of resurfacing in phases of this main road in the town tourist-residential area and that will entail traffic cuts.

“First of all, the Costa Teguise apologize for the inconvenience caused by the resurfacing work to be undertaken, but they are necessary works to reform a priority road for the area and thus solve the problems that presents in this section, in which work is also being done to improve signage and accessibility ”, said Oswaldo Betancort, thanking the Minister of Works for the investment committed to the project of the municipality of Teguise, valued at 350,000 euros obtained from the Funds of Canary Islands Development (FDCAN).

Traffic cuts in phases

The closing hours will be from 06:30 to 23:00 and in different phases . Thus, on Monday, July 26th, in a first phase, there will be a total closure of traffic on the Arrecife-Costa Teguise direction for sweeping and milling. Once finished, the road in the Costa Teguise-Arrecife direction will be closed.

From Tuesday 27th to Friday 30 July, the second phase of the asphalt works will be carried out. During the same, on July 27th and 28th, the traffic will be closed in the direction Arrecife-Costa Teguise, and on July 29th-30th, the road will be closed to traffic in the Costa Teguise-Arrecife direction.
