The drafting of the projects to carry out the work on the LZ-1 highway, which connects the towns of Guatiza and Órzola, and the remodeling of the connection link between the Arrecife ring road and the LZ-2, exit to Playa Honda, will be put out to tender imminently. "We are talking about some works that have been demanded since 2006 and that did not even have the projects and that, finally have now and will be put out to tender in the next few days," announced the president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo.

In the case of the northern highway, the work has a budget of 20 million euros, while 8 million will be allocated to works to improve the links to the Arrecife exit, in both cases with funds from the Canary Islands Government.

The announcement was made after the working meeting held between María Dolores Corujo and the Minister of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, with the Director General of Road Infrastructure of the Canary Islands Government, José Luis Delgado, who recently visited Lanzarote.
