The insular coordination committee between the Cabildo de Lanzarote and the town councils held this Tuesday approved to exempt the terraces from the fee for occupation of the public highway and allow, on a temporary basis, one hundred percent more extension of the occupied space. In this way, they aim to "guarantee the security separation between the tables without this separation being an added difficulty" for the island's bars and restaurants.

In the area of tax measures, the meeting also agreed to extend the term of payment of taxes until December 1st and the preparation of a study that will address the possibility of reducing different rates to businesses and industries to the extent who have not been able to carry out their activity.
