The arrival of two Brazilian state airplanes from China via Poland and bound for the Carioca country has activated coronavirus alerts at Gran Canaria Airport.

These Brazilian Air Force (FAB) planes are moving 34 repatriated Brazilians from Wuhan, the area where the disease broke out, and they were scheduled to arrive at their destination in the early hours of Sunday.

During the refuelling maneuver in Gran Canaria, a crew member descended from the plane to the airstrip wearing a protective face mask and the ground staff of the airport notified the situation to the Health Authority. The Aircraft may not take off again until authorized by the Government in the Canary Islands, according to the sources consulted by the Province.
