On Tuesday a new peak was reached on the island, with 2,940 doses administered in a single day, and in a week more than 20,000 have been injected.

In addition, another 2,832 were injected on Wednesday; and in the last week the figure of 20,000 has been exceeded, which is almost a fifth of all those administered so far.

In recent days, most are second doses to complete the immunization of people who had already received the first. However, at the same time it has continued to advance in new age groups, after also opening the 30 to 39 age group.

Progress by age groups

By age groups, vaccination has already been completed in all those over 80 and 90 years old, while in the group between 70 and 79 years old there were already 96.6% this Wednesday with at least one dose and 93, 6% with the complete guideline.

Regarding people between 60 and 69 years old, it has already reached 90.4% with one dose, although only 22.5% with both, because a large part of this group initially received the Astrazeneca vaccine, that in addition to having its administration slowed down for a few weeks, it also has a longer waiting period between one dose and the next.

For this reason, the group between 50 and 59 years old is more advanced, with 67.9% already having the complete pattern in Lanzarote. Regarding those who have a dose, they represent 84.4% until this Wednesday.

The next group that opened in Lanzarote, ahead of most of the Canary Islands and Spain, was the 40 to 49 year old. In this case, the first dose has already been administered at 68.1%, while the full regimen is at 12.1%.

As for the group that started last week, those aged 30 to 39, 21.8% already had the first dose, while 8.4% had already received both.
